Whitby and Nearby Attractions
There are many attractions in and around Whitby, North Yorkshire. These include Whitby Abbey and St Marys
Church. 199 steps leads you to the ruins of Whitby Abbey and Heritage Centre, and St Marys Church and
graveyard where you can pause ay Caedmons Cross a Memorial to the earliest known English Poet. Captain
Cook Memorial Museum. Whitby Leisure Centre. Whitby Golf Course, Which is open to non members. North
Yorkshire Moors Railway, which have many events during the year and Dracula Experience, to name but a few.
For walks and cycling there is the Cleveland Way, Coast to Coast and Lyke Wake Walk. The
old Railway Line to Scarborough is part of the national cycle network and for mountain bikers, numerous
forest trails. Don't forget we have an arrangement with a local bike shop who will deliver and pick up their hire bikes
from our Guest House.
